4+ despite the name of 'Best Bet Pizzeria', I would say that this place feels more like a mid to high end restaurant with an Italian influence, but more like fresh ingredient driven California fare. When I went, I thought the service was attentive and great. Really helpful with exploring the menu as well. The place was lively and fun. The restaurant is located in the A-Frame in Culver City that has seen a few different restaurants over the years. (Been a relatively long time resident in West LA) I really enjoyed the smaller dishes like the crispy zucchini and the roasted stone fruit. Beautifully presented and done very well. For the pizzas, I tried the Italian Stallion and the Funkadelic (a Montanara style pizza). Now, I never had Montanara style pizza before. I'm a fan. It's like a savory donut with a nice crisp and soft middle. Overall, I'm a big fan of the food. It's not the cheapest, so just know that. Parking in the area can be tough but not impossible. There's a lot, but it's not large.

I would happily make the drive from Orange County to Best Bet Pizzeria any time, any day. Let's go over a few reasons why. (Please be advised that this review is based on my visit on 9/16/23 so some of the items we ordered may no longer be on their ever-slaying seasonal menu.) Roasted garlic knots - you may feel deceived when this comes out because it's literally just one big knot, but nonetheless it was roasted garlicky goodness. Ricotta Zeppole Giostra - this was an appetizer on the sweeter side. Best way to describe it is like a wound up churro with shaved Parmesan cheese on top + avocado honey, truffle salt, and black truffle shavings. *drools* All the tomatoes salad - mini tomatoes and sliced regular tomatoes topped with tomato vinaigrette, black garlic, buffalo ricotta, basil oil, and basil leaves. Every bite of this sent my tastebuds in a craze. It's now #2 on my list of best ricotta salads. Pizzas- My name is groot (woodfired / neopolitan style) - it was ok! Nothing to hate about it, however also nothing to really rave about. Godzilla (woodfired / neopolitan style) - some of the crust was a little too burnt for our liking, but other than that we enjoyed it. Reverse spumoni (focaccia / Sicilian style) - interesting toppings {crispy mortadella, figs, pistachio, whipped buffalo ricotta, cherry amaro agrodolce} got me curious enough to order this. The decision was not regretted one bit. Dolce budino- this dessert literally made all of us awe in agreement of how this was the perfect ending to our dinner. It was the supreme ratio of sweet, salty, and crunchy. Drinks- (all cutely decorated with a big alcohol cube with "BB" engraved) Hot older sister - duh, it's me in drink form! Of course I had to order it. Best bet martini - yes yes a million times yes. Tbh everything was a little on the pricier side, but I guess that comes with the location territory. Service was A1. Everyone knew what they were talking about and gave us amazing recommendations on what to order for our first time there. The parking situation looks like a little lot at the back of the restaurant, a valet lot in front, and street parking surrounding.

Best Bet Pizzeria sits in an adorable A-frame building off of Washington. We ordered several different items, all delicious and also not your traditional style pizza. We sat outside on the patio where thankfully there were heaters. Valet is about $15 if you can't find street parking. The food was well spaced out; each dish came out right after the first dish was finished. Props to our fast and friendly server! We also kept it family style. A few food highlights: - FRITTI & SPUNTINI: Ricotta zeppole giostra- black truffle, truffle salt, avocado honey, 24m parm, sea salt (different but I'd get it again) - Autumn wedge salad- red endives, gala apples, spiced pecans, feta cheese, apple cider yogurt dressing (refreshing) - Funkadelic- sheep's milk ricotta, guanciale, peaches, olive crumble, Persian mint, black pepper (montanara Mountain Crispy Pizza) - kind of like a calzone but airy and sweet - White Lotus- carbonara, smoked bacon, crescenza cheese, 24m parmesan, black pepper, poached egg (focaccia cast-iron baked Sicilian style) - envision focaccia filled with cheese and thick pork - Duck Agnolotti (off the menu) - Dulcey budino- stracciatella gelato, almond biscotti crumble (has a caramel flavor) The portions were small but still delicious and great for sharing if you want to try a bunch of different items. Will be going back!

The best way to describe this place is a pizza joint overtly trying to be pretentious Listen, it's not bad. The flavors are great but the combinations feel a little unnecessary The overall vibe also doesnt seem to quite match with the concept Came here on Friday night with a couple of friends We were seated immediately upon arrival Wait staff said their menu is meant to he family style so they suggested we order a few items and spit - we had already planned to do so We ordered the following Squash blossoms - this was really good. Filled with Dungeness crab. I was expecting cheese like most squash blossoms but this gave it a great flavor Garlic knot(s) expected multiple got one to split. Very smokey flavor tasted like it had bacon bits and/or grease. Actually really good. I wish we got a second Reverse spumoni the pistachios, cheese and fig almost made this dessert like. Sweet and v good with the artichoke sauce that tasted like it had a drizzle of honey Duck bolognese this was good. Not too gamy the bolognese was a bit hearty and had great flavor Godzilla had very limited structural integrity lol because it had lots of stuff on it but lots of umami flavor Expect a savory meal for sure when dining here
